Stop Scope Creep.

Scope creep doesn't start mid-project — it starts the day you skip writing scope down. Spell out what's included, what costs extra, and what's off the table, and get a clean one-page document you can send before the work begins.

"Can you just quickly add one more thing?"

It's never one thing. Scope creep is the slow pile of small, unpaid "quick" asks that turn a profitable project into a resentful one — and it almost always traces back to a scope that lived in your head instead of on paper.

The fix isn't being difficult. It's being clear up front, so "that's a change request" is a calm pointer to something you both already agreed to.

  • Name exactly what the client gets — no vague "etc."
  • List the common add-ons and call them paid extras now
  • Put the obvious-to-you exclusions in writing
  • Set one calm change-request line you can point back to

Build Your Scope

Fill the three lists on the left — one item per line. Your scope document builds itself on the right, ready to copy into a proposal or print as-is. Nothing is saved anywhere but your own browser.

The concrete things they get. Be specific — numbers beat adjectives.
The common "can you also…" asks. Naming them now makes the upsell easy later.
Obvious to you ≠ obvious to them. Write the exclusions down.

Anything outside this list is a change request — quoted and approved before any work begins.
This scope sets expectations for both sides. Anything added later is handled as its own quote, so the project stays fair and on track.
